about the ensemble

Drawing upon inspired sources from both the rich past and present day, Edvard Munch Ensemble seeks to transform the concert experience into a complete artwork. EMBLE performs in various combinations of their five members, curating the vast wealth of chamber music repertoire moment by moment to tell a story. In each concept-based performance, EMBLE employs a variety of other art forms, including design, language, and visuals, as the performers use the their entire presence on stage to create a new world of boundless expression.

EMBLE’s first concept, Myths, will be launched with a concert tour this fall and winter, and will also be presented in schools as part of the ensemble’s commitment to inspiring the next generation through the arts.
