Thormod Rønning Kvam, Piano

When he graduated high school, Thormod Rønning Kvam made news for achieving impossibly perfect grades. Nonetheless, having played the piano from the age of four, he was offered the opportunity to study at the Barratt Due Institute of Music in Oslo with the esteemed professor Jiří Hlinka. Thormod is what one calls a “true Norwegian,” attached to his skis until the grass is green and, naturally, always carrying an open-faced brown cheese sandwich in his lunch pack. His drive to communicate inner musicality and perfection in tone has brought him to an increasing number of distinguished concert venues all across Europe. With such formidable prowess in so many areas outside the concert hall, he creates the structure that allows the music to blossom freely.
